Benefits of counselling include finding a greater degree of self-awareness, by taking the time to truly understand your thoughts, feelings and emotions and why you react as you do in different circumstances.
A deeper understanding of yourself can improve your self-esteem and help find an acceptance of who you are and what you have been through.
Talking to a qualified counsellor is different to talking to family or friends. You may find it hard to talk freely to someone you are close to due to shame, or fear of rejection. A qualified counsellor like myself, is not there to judge you in any way. I will give you the time and space you need to talk about you, as open and freely as you wish.
